Putting Cassie to sleep has always been so easy. She definitely has her routine down. I lay her in the crib, she watches me as I grab her bedtime book, I read, dim the lights, and she's out. However after our usual routine this evening, I heard her crying followed by some more noises. It freaked me out for a minute because I thought that maybe she banged her head on the crib. So I walked in and this is what I found:
And there she was, proudly standing in her crib! No wonder the girl cannot fall asleep, she's too busy trying to figure a way to break out.
There was a time when she used to like to be rocked, and then she went through the phase of not wanting to be rocked. Eventually we got back to rocking but not even that worked tonight. Instead we slow danced in her room tonight. We leave this music playing all night for her so I picked her up and slow danced with her and in less than 5 minutes she was sound asleep in my arms. This was truly the best part of my day ♡.
