That's how old I am today. My first birthday with my sweet girl. I'm 30 years older than her. When she's 30 I will be 60. I was born in 78, she was born in 08. I'm incredibly blessed with great family & good friends. It bites that I have to work today. Those were all of the thoughts that came to mind when I woke up this morning. It was such a long day at work today, everyone was in a funk, hardly anyone knew it was my birthday, I went to lunch by myself, it rained all of the way home. And then I arrived home and was greeted by Chris and Cassie sitting at the dining table with a birthday cake and some candles, ready to sing happy birthday. How did they know I needed that? I didn't have time to grab the camera though because Cassie was tired of waiting for me and the candles were beginning to melt and she desperately wanted to dig into the icing.
