Oh how I wish Houston weather was this gorgeous everyday! I wasn't about to let a crummy morning keep me inside with Cassie all day so I got her ready and we headed to the park for our first picnic. I packed her bag and away we went. I felt really guilty not taking Dottie along because I know how much she loves lounging in the sun, but there is no way I can handle Cassie in her stroller and a very hyper dog in a park loaded with people......sorry Dot.
Here are a few of my favorite pics from our afternoon. Cassie isn't smiling in most of them because she was so intrigued by everything and everyone else around that she was totally ignoring the camera. I didn't realize how much I needed this day until it was time to come home. I missed Chris not being with us but having some peaceful quality time with Cassie did me a lot of good. Luckily this park is located right down the street from us on Lake Houston because something tells me that this is probably going to be our new hangout for a while!
Finally...the day ended with a big smile :-)
